Job description Professional nursing position that provides
direct nursing and HIV services on a
detoxification/medical unit. The following are
the core functions of this position.
Receiving/triage Services: respond to all
requests by clients as they present themselves
to the unit
Withdrawal Management Services: assist with
and manage client’s safe withdrawal from
certain drugs/alcohol in
accordance with clinical protocols
Medical Clearance Services: medical clearance
of clients for admission into residential
treatment unit as well as
conduct a variety of medical assessments to determine client
is medically/psychiatrically stable and
appropriate
to receive therapeutic services in a non-medical residential
setting
Pharmacy and Medication Services: medication
management such as maintain, control,
administer and account
